MOONS has added a new page to the site. "Doctors" will list names of physicians with whom PWNs have had excellent experiences. MOONS is not recommending these doctors, but is providing links to their clinic sites.

Methodist Hospital, where we hold our meetings, is holding a Sleep Fair on Thursday, March 4 from Noon until 6 PM. Please consider stopping by it. They will have information available about a number of sleep disorders.

Due to a scheduling error, MOONS-MN needs to cancel the February 20 meeting. Fortunately, Suddenly Sleepy Saturday is right around the corner on March 13. See you then!

MOONS-MN will have its meeting at 10 AM on Saturday, November 14. Once again, we will be at Methodist Hospital in Saint Louis Park.  MOONS-MN members will report back about the Narcolepsy Network 2009 National Patient Conference. The group will then discuss potential plans for 2010 (2010 meeting dates are available on the MNSchedule page). Finally, the group will have support group interaction.

MOONS-MN will meet at 4 PM at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital. Dr. Eve Rogers will share new information about the latest narcolepsy research.

MOONS-MN will be holding a social event on July 18. We will be in the Vascular Center at 2 PM. We will have an informal snack "potluck," and we will use the time as a chance to interact with and to meet one another.

MOONS-MN will meet at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital on Saturday, May 30. MOONS member and high school English teacher Mike Main will share online sources of support and information as well as how those resources helped in his own journey with narcolepsy. During the second half of the meeting, Dr. Eve Rogers will lead a support group session. The meeting will run from 10:00 AM until Noonish.

MOONS-MN will be hosting an informal gathering (movie and pizza) for Suddenly Sleepy Saturday (March 7, 2009). The event will be held at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in Saint Louis Park (same place). We will start at 11:00 AM and hang out until 3:00 PM. The cost is $5 to cover the pizza, water, popcorn, and birthday cake. The film is "Wide Awake," which is about a young woman with narcolepsy. Please bring a pillow, a blanket, and a friend. Suddenly Sleepy Saturday is the culmination of National Sleep Awareness week.

MOONS-MN will have a meeting from 10 AM until Noon on Saturday, February 28. We will be at Methodist Hospital, our new location. Dr. Eve Rogers will discuss the basics of narcolepsy (with and without cataplexy) and ideopathic hypersomnia.
